Are You a Job Hopper?

Many people search for the right vocation and hope that they will find it to finally settle down. They endlessly seek for the job they really wanted and as a result they become a habitual job hopper. The good thing about being a job hopper is you become exposed to various workplaces. It may also teach you a lot of things particularly on interpersonal skills and other learning experiences of life.

However, the bad consequence of this is that you tend to waste your time instead of investing it in your career life. Another disadvantage of changing your job often is you do not earn much because you spend a lot of money while looking for a new job. On the other hand, some people have a counter argument about this. Job hopping will raise your salary offer. In this case, it always depends on the reason why you change your job.

It is quiet understandable to be a job hopper in your early career life because you are still finding your right vocation, but to make it a habit through the years of your life it is not good at all. It is fine to stay on your job for ten years and after that it is healthier to leave. But leaving after few months or a year? Whoa! You better be wise in choosing the right job. The choice is yours, be a job hopper or start building your long and lasting career.
